Shooters On the Water at 1148 Main Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.

Never got refills, my dad had a big hair in his burger!! And no one ever asked him if he wanted anything else! Ended up spending $66! And barely got anything!! This place is a no go for me! Don’t waste your money here!

Okay, so my last Shooters experience was incredibly odd and at the same time embarrassing and infuriating. Let me explain: I was taking a day trip with my boyfriend, we had just got back from visiting the lovely museums in Cleveland. I suggested we eat dinner at Shooters because I’ve had wonderful experiences at this restaurant in years prior and thought it would be the perfect end to a perfect day. What could wrong? Apparently, everything. It was about 8pm, but we checked to see if it was open. A quick google search of “Shooters On The Water” showed that it was open and open until 11pm. Perfect! After paying the ridiculous $10 for parking we walked into the restaurant. No one was there to greet us except a sign that said something along the lines of “seat yourself.” My boyfriend and I thought that was odd but we headed to the dining room anyway. As we made our way there, we passed the bar which was packed with loud, drunk people apparently watching a Cavs game. They seemed to be the only people in the restaurant. We sat ourselves in the dining room. A few minutes later, the waitress who had watched us walk in, but was too busy sitting on her phone, finally got up to tell us that they were closed. Wait.. what?? Now let’s back up. Google had told us the restaurant was open. There were no signs in the front indicating that it was closed. The front entrance was open and we were able to make it in. There was a sign saying “seat yourself.” There were several people watching the Cavs game inside and it’s closed?? At 8pm on a Friday night. It made no sense. I’d update your hours online, put up a “closed” sign and lock your doors if you’re not open, Shooters. Never going back after this awkward, embarrassing experience, because apparently you never know when it’s gonna be closed!
